“Why did you chose that title?” Rowida laid languidly on the bed as she looked up to the Grand Wizard. “In fact, I don’t even know you by any other name?”
“I have my reasons to omit mentioning my name, Grand Wizard should do.” He walked to the table near the flap of the tent and took the decanter of wine and poured into the two glasses, he walked back with them to Rowida, handed her one and said, “As for the title, it has to do with the way I ended up in Agartha, I am not originally from here.”
“You don’t have to tell me all your secrets.” Rowida sat up. “I just wanted to fill the silence with some words.”
He laughed, then he said, “Trust this, I will never disclose enough to jeopardize my plans.” He drank the glass in one gulp, “Not even to you my dear, Dragon Lady.”
“Let’s change the subject then.” Rowida sipped from her glass slowly. “After your order takes over the whole land, what then?”
“I save Agartha, and the land from where I came, isn’t it obvious?” He laughed, then bent down to kiss Rowida, who pushed him with her glass.
“Save Agartha from what?” Rowida was feeling the void in her core widening, and she needed to fill it with anything, even the vain words of this mysterious man.
“There is a prophecy that foretold my coming, and a war that would end both Agartha and my homeland.” He stood to face her. “And only I can prevent this, and I will do it, even if it meant conquering both lands with sword and Vrill, to save them.”
“A prophecy? I didn’t think you are the type to follow the ravings of old fools.” Rowida looked at him in bemusement, with a smile spreading over her lips. The void was shrinking.
“Not that prophecy.” He went to the tent flap to leave, yet he turned to Rowida before leaving and said, “This prophecy even has you in it, and you are as essential to its fulfillment as I am.” Then he left Rowida to her thoughts.
