“He is a green, I am quite certain of that,” Darren talked softly to Black. “I think he is doing something with the girl, she uses strange words which might be really out of this world.”
“Or she could be a red.” Black rubbed his short beard. “Your kind can musk their aura, right?”
“I hope that she is not.” Darren shook his head slowly as he said, “This would mean that she is a spy for the order of purification then.”
“Or she could be an outworlder, as she told you,” Black said calmly. “They are known to stumble on Agartha every now and then.”
“It is a possibility.” Darren nodded, then he added, “But I don’t want to risk disclosure, you need to stay behind if I have to run to release the wolf or curb it down.” Before Black could protest, he said, “This way you can keep watching over them, and if she exposes me, we leave.”
“It is not as easy as you think.” Black spoke in a harsh tone, “I am now bound to you, if you go for a stroll, I have to do that too.”
“So, you will never leave me alone.” Darren suddenly turned to Black with a growl, and said, “Did you ever give me a moment of privacy since the ‘Deal’?”
“No, I didn’t,” Black said matter of factually. “I can’t, even if I wanted to, I am bound to you till the fulfillment of the ‘Deal’, physically and spiritually.”
“OK, then just disappear as you usually do.” Darren turned his back to the older man. “I really don’t want to see you around right now.”
“Your wish is my command,” Black said sarcastically and vanished.
Darren sighed, then he walked back to the camp, pulled a log that was laying a few meters back, took a seat on it and gazed into the fire, as his mind burned with thoughts of regret for his decision to make the deal with Black, almost at the same intensity of the fire burning a few feet away from him.
