Aside from writing The Chronicles of Agartha and all its sister series, I am a professional ghostwriter, and I am happy to fulfill all your ghostwriting and developmental editing needs.
What is ghostwriting anyway?
Simply put, ghostwriting is a legal profession where a ghostwriter gets paid to write for you. It could be an article or an encyclopedia, as long as you agree with the ghostwriter, they will write for you, and your name goes on the work.
Ghostwriting is as old as publishing, and some of the grand names in literature might have used a ghostwriter at some point or another. Just google ghostwriting in history, and you will be amazed.
What about developmental editing?
Unlike line editing and copy editing, developmental editing helps you find weak parts in the story, plot holes, stronger phrasing, and the general flow of your story.
If this is your first tie writing a novel, I provide a free assessment of the first chapter. Diamonds are diamonds, but sometimes they might be a bit rough. Developmental editing lets your diamond shine through and capture the hearts and imagination of your readers, without affecting neither your style nor your voice.
What genres do you write in?
Well, fantasy, of course, this whole website is about a fantasy series after all.
But Fantasy (even though it has a multitude of subgenres) is not the only genre I write in.
I write thrillers, science fiction (with all its subgenres), romance, action-adventure, parody or humor, historical fiction, and memoirs.
Whatever the genre, I will strive to give you the best outcome for your ghostwriting needs.
How long does it take to write a book?
It depends. Some genres are easier than others.
By easier, I mean that they require less research, which is quite time-consuming.
Memoirs require a lot of research for the factual data within the story, and science fiction sometimes pushes me to study new subjects to get all the scientific facts correct.
On average, I write 3000 words a day and when you count in the time dedicated for research, I can finish between 9000 to 12000 words a week. Ghostwriting is fun, but it is not easy.
OF course, these numbers mean that at the time, I will be working only on your book. Longer books, and parts of a series, always take precedence over shorter books and standalone in my writing schedule.
But I want my voice, my personal touch to be in my book.
As it should always be, I promise to write as close as possible to your writing voice.
You will have two options:
- I will write your book according to your voice, and I can acheive this through talking with you, reading samples of your work, and reaching a degree of understanding that would allow me to write as if I was you.
- Or, we work on it together. Some call this writing coaching, I call it partial ghostwriting. This way you maintain your style, voice, and material, and I will just add some style choices, and some professional techniques to the work.
I have just an idea, can you work with this?
The short answer is yes.
The long answer is we will have to take our time building this idea.
First, before considering ghostwriting, have you thought your idea all the way through? We can work on that together if you didn’t.
Second, aside from the idea, do you have a genre, theme, or trope in mind? Again, most people who dabble in ghostwriting would not venture into a contract before having all these data clear. I am willing to help with that, free of charge.
Third, now that you know everything about your book, do you have an outline? Just as above, most ghostwriting is based on a solid outline. I will work with you on the outline, and present you with a skeleton of a plot afterward, again, free of charge.
Can I see a sample of your past work?
Sure, the easiest way is to check one of my published books.
Eye of The Storm is an example of classic epic fantasy, with dwarves, elves, and magic.
The Green Boy is an example of young adult epic fantasy, and it avoids all aspects of classic fantasy and the usual tropes. Red’ Soul takes this to the second level.
Through The Storm mixes military with epic fantasy.
The Eternal Agarthans is a historical fantasy made up of several short stories.
And The Trinity’s Dream is a philosophical urban fantasy.
Are you searching for samples outside of published work? Then contact me directly via my email: drsherifmekdam@gmail.com and I will provide a sample of the genre you need within 24 hours.
Of course, you can always check some of the stories I placed on this website:
Check The Black Rose, Part Three, The Masters which links to the two first parts.
And check The Old Road, The Egg that killed the world which links to all prior parts.
What kind of experience do you have in ghostwriting?
I have been ghostwriting for the past six years full-time.
During this time, I wrote forty-three (43) novels, several memoirs, four game scripts, and several short stories, all but six novels were written for my clients.
Don’t take my word for granted, after checking my published work, you can check my profile on Upwork, where I worked for almost a year and a half. Just google Sherif Guirguis Upwork, and the first result should be my profile there.
I am afraid I can’t afford ghostwriting, it seems expensive.
Not at all, my rates are quite affordable, and if you plan a series, I will have special packages for you.
Special packages of multiple books include a 20% discount on the total, as well as 5 blog posts, two descriptions for the books, a short story you can use as a reader magnet to grow your email list, and two sales copies for marketing your book.
And my rates are actually quite competitive in comparison to market prices. My rates are between 3-7 cents per word according to the type of work, scope, and genre of the book I will write for you.
For developmental editing, it depends on the amount of work needed, and it will either be per hour or per book.
Just contact me to discuss the rates, which I promise will be within reach. drsherifmekdam@gmail.com
Ok, how does the whole process go?
First, I will sign an NDA, to protect your rights.
Second, we both sign a binding contract with all the details of the book or series.
Third, we agree on the final detailed plot.
Fourth, I start writing or editing.
Sixth, I deliver, you review, and if needed we do a revision.
Last, you publish your book!
How about payment?
We will discuss this and arrange a suitable way for everything to be as pain-free as possible.
How can I contact you again?
Simple, just send me an email at drsherifmekdam@gmail.com, and I will answer within 24 hours. We can set other ways of communication afterward to facilitate our work together.
Just know, if you are looking for someone to help you bring your brilliant idea to life, then I am here for you.
