Stephan needed to find a place to relay his message, the place had electricity but this didn’t really help, he needed a permanent power source till help arrives.
It wasn’t easy, but he found a mill on the river than ran through the city. he placed part of his own Agarthan equipment to transform the place into a power center for his operation.
It took him a week, but finally he managed to send his message, and he had to do now, was wait.
Two days after he sent his message, one of the policemen came to his office to inform him that a Lady Violet was asking for him.
He realized immediately that help did arrive, so he asked the policeman to let her in.
Once she came inside, he rushed to close the doors, “Violet, nice name.” He bowed to the woman who immediately took a seat.
“Sorry for not calling myself purple.” She laughed. “I wanted to make sure that you knew that help was here.”
“Gladly accepted.” Stephan sat behind his desk. “The DNA tracker is not giving any results.”
“Already, down to business.” She removed her white gloves. “Couldn’t you wait on a woman to have some fun in such a primitive place?”
“I am so sorry, but we don’t have the time for it.” Stephan sighed. “He got five, maybe seven till now, and I think he already has all the ingredients for his spell.”
“Are you certain of this?” she leaned across the desk, her features all rigid in a moment.
“Fairly certain.” He pulled the files of the case and put them forward for her to see. “Almost all the organs are here, unless I am mistaken.”
Lady Violet went through the document fast, and then she looked up with a glint in her eyes. “He is still missing one ingredient, and for this he needs a very special man.”
“I thought he only needed female organs.” Stephan looked at her in confusion. “I didn’t know that there should be a man as well.”
“This was his old trial.” She sat back and pulled a fan from her purse, but she didn’t open it. “We found more ballads, through the help of the yellows, about the man after you were sent on the job, he needs another victim, a man, above forty and still a virgin.”
“Then he will aim for the clergy then?” Stephan asked her.
“Maybe, maybe not, the ballads were a bit vague, and we think there is another perquisite to the next victim.” she shook her head in negation.
“So, what now?” Stephan put his hands on the desk. “We have virtually nothing to go on with. It is almost as if he knew I had the DNA tracker and hence he leaves none in any of crime scenes.”
“Now, I get to use some magic.” She gave Stephan a radiant smile. “Although, this place addles my connection to nature.”
Stephan harrumphed. “I am an orange, the separation from nature has been excruciating to say the least.”
“Do you know of any exiles or renegade Agarthans near by?” She pursed her lips. “A circle would help greatly to amplify the spell.”
“Give me four days, and I will find at least one.” Stephan stood.
“Make them three, we need five to give the spell the best chance of succeeding.” She stood and bowed, then she left his office.
Stephan put his coat on and left after her, he had to make a journey to Glasgow, and he wanted to catch the next train.
